How to Create a Simma Coaching Account

Getting started with Simma takes a few minutes. This guide walks through creating your coaching account, setting up your profile, and configuring the settings that shape how Simma works for you and your athletes.

Sign up and create your account

Head to getsimma.com and sign up with your email address. You'll be asked to confirm your email and set a password — standard stuff.

Once you're in, Simma will walk you through a short setup flow. The key steps are below.

Set up your coach profile

During signup, you'll enter your business name. Simma uses this to generate your unique coaching slug — something like getsimma.com/join/coach-mike — which becomes the link your athletes use to join your squad. You'll see it suggested as soon as you enter your business name, and you can adjust it if needed.

Once you're inside the app, you can finish setting up your profile with your brand logo. The logo appears in athlete communications and on your coaching page, so it's worth uploading something clean — your business mark or a simple headshot both work well.

Configure your tone of voice, instructions, and sign-off

These three fields shape how your weekly athlete summaries sound.

Tone of voice tells the summary agent how to write. One to three sentences describing how you'd naturally communicate with your athletes. Be specific — "Warm and encouraging, but direct when something needs to change" gives the agent much more to work with than "professional."

Instructions add context the agent can't get from training data alone — things like your current training phase, how direct you want the agent to be when flagging concerns, or phrases you never want used. This field is optional at signup. You can leave it blank and add to it over time as you see how the summaries read. Most coaches find they refine their instructions over the first few weeks based on the output.

Sign-off appears at the end of every weekly summary exactly as you write it. Keep it natural — whatever you'd normally sign an email with. Examples: "Cheers, Dan" or "See you at the pool — Coach Sarah" or simply "— Mike."

We've written a full guide on getting these right: How to Set Up Your Weekly Summary Agent So It Sounds Like You. It covers all three fields and includes worked examples.

What happens next

Once your profile is set up, you're ready to invite athletes. Simma gives you a unique coaching link that you can share with your squad. When athletes sign up through your link, they're automatically added to your squad and guided through connecting their wearable device.

Your Monday Pre-Screen dashboard will start populating as athlete data flows in, and you can begin reviewing and sending weekly summaries as soon as there's a week of data to work with.
